Our research partners are members of the association. Their excellent research forms the foundation of many success stories within the Innovation Park.
SHAPING THE FUTURE
The future doesn’t just happen. We shape it – through dialogue, exchange, and the courage to explore new paths. We highlight trends in construction and real estate and promote the transfer of knowledge and technologies developed by our research partners and focus areas. In addition, we provide easy access to key insights through our knowledge platform.
INTERACTIONS THAT ADVANCE IDEAS
FOR KICK-STARTING INNOVATION PROJECTS
In the focus areas and programs, members share knowledge and systematically initiate innovation projects. Concrete innovation projects arise from shared knowledge. We accompany the entire process - from the idea to financing and partner placement.
ACCESS TO DEMONSTRATORS AND LIGHTHOUSE PROJECTS
In the construction and energy sectors, long investment periods and strict regulations make it difficult to introduce new technologies. There is often a gap between functioning laboratory solutions and market-ready products. Empa & Eawag's research and innovation building NEST (Next Evolution in Sustainable Building Technologies) closes this gap and helps new sustainable solutions to gain a foothold in the construction industry more quickly.
The Construction Department of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Engineering & Architecture offers modern infrastructure. Students have access to well-equipped workshops, laboratories, and studios where they can work in a hands-on environment.
AllianzOne is the first construction project in Switzerland to use an integrated process and a multi-party contract. What began as a research approach in the focus area is now being put into practice: through early collaboration, shared goals, and joint responsibility, the project achieves more efficient processes, improved planning reliability, greater trust, and reduced costs – key success factors for complex construction projects of the future.
The Tech Cluster Zug is transforming the historic V-ZUG factory site into a networked innovation quarter for production, research, education and living. With innovative building and energy concepts such as the Multi Energy Hub and resource-conserving materials, the Tech Cluster Zug is focusing on reducing CO₂ emissions. The variety of uses creates an inspiring environment for innovation, collaboration and sustainable growth.
On the Roche site in Rotkreuz, a 29,000 m² production building for diagnostics is being constructed by 2027. With an investment of 215 million Swiss francs and one of the largest timber constructions in Switzerland, the project meets the highest sustainability standards: a fossil-free energy supply, resource-efficient water cycles, and measures to promote biodiversity ensure a future-proof operation.
